Since this is the new year I am going to post our weekly menu plan starting this week. This is also my way of monitoring and becoming effective in my saving goals for this year. We have a very tough economy right now. I am a full time homemaker and we only have one income with 4 people in the family. This is one of the ways of religiously helping my husband to save financially as well as preparing for our kids future.
This is my first time to join the wag and I’m very excited. I hope I can keep up. So for this first week of the year, our menu is listed below:
For breakfast we usually have one or combination of: cereal, yogurt, pancake, waffles, toast, muffins, sausage, bacon, fruits, and juice and milk for the beverage.
Lunch – Baked chicken, au gratin, broccoli florets tossed with lemon pepper.
Dinner – Leftover chicken, steamed rice, and fruits for dessert.
Lunch – Fried tilapia with lemon pepper.
Dinner – Vegetable soup and rice.
Lunch – Totinos Pizza
Dinner – Hamburger helper
Lunch – PBJ [our kids favorite]
Dinner – Spaghetti and meatballs
Lunch – Leftover spaghetti
Dinner – Pizza night
Lunch – Sauteed mixed veggies with chicken [if we are not out and about]
Dinner – Hawaiian chicken, rolls, carrots
Lunch – Left over from Saturday
Dinner – Daddy’s time to cook. He usually cooks what we have in the fridge.
Sometimes my menu will not be followed on the date especially if friends invite us for lunch. Most of the invitations are really impromptu
