Buying Baby Gears

During my first pregnancy buying baby gears was kind of daunting. Since it was my first I was excited but apprehensive on what type of gears to buy. I scouted from every stores and online stores of different gears as well as reading reviews of almost everything. But then it just made me more confused because there are lots of conflicting reviews from different users. Now that I am pregnant again and have to buy baby gears, I am still confused of what to buy :-) This is funny. I should know by now since I already have experience but because of the many choices it is just hard to decide.

Two weeks ago, after many days of looking online and and in stores, I decided to get some of the baby gears that we need. I got the swing, stroller, and infant car seat at Walmart.com. I made a price comparison from Babies 'R Us and Target and so far Wally world sell the same item cheaper and only 97 cents shipping fee each item so it was kind of a good deal. I have all the gears I ordered and already assembled the double stroller and the infant car seat. I did not assemble the swing yet coz I am pretty sure our DD#1 will hop on it as soon as she sees it. Next week I will have the car cleaned and then set up the car seat inside. For now, I am still looking online for some other good deals for other baby necessities so I can have everything ready.

Boppy Body Pillow

Early this month I went to Target and bought a boppy body pillow just like the one above. I needed some cushion to support my tummy while I'm sleeping. I do have a hard time sleeping right now that I am in my 3rd trimester. Switching from side to side is really hard. With this pillow I can relax more and even if I stay on my left side the whole night my legs and back is well cushioned. My back pain is lessened now that I am using this pillow. When I was pregnant with our DD#1 I only use regular pillows because I was so skeptical to get this one. But now that I have to do everything in the house I need something like it to help me get a good night rest. So far it works for me and I sleep comfortably, only thing the daughter also want to cuddle it at night :-)

When I bought it, there was a coupon inside that or a free order slip form for Us Weekly magazine. I will get a free 12 issue of this magazine for buying this pillow. I believe it was worth $11+. I already sent the order form and still waiting for my first issue to arrive. Anyways, I am not paid to post this review. I am just excited to share my experience using this boppy body pillow.

Making My Drugstore Trips

I will have to make a plan in going to drugstores this week. We only have Walgreens and Rite Aid here in our area and honestly I haven't been to Rite Aid ever since I live here since November of 2007. I think because what I used to get I can get from the local grocery stores and Walgreens. Looking at other posts of other bloggers about the many good deals at Rite Aid, I may have to make a visit there this week. Hopefully I can get a good deal as well :-)

My Walgreens Trip 2/10

I went to Walgreens this afternoon to get my prescription. I could get it on post but I was lazy to drive in the rain so I decided to just go down the road. I waited for a few minutes since there was a line. When I turned in my copy for the prescription the pharmacist asked me what time I will pick it up. I didn't know I have to wait and she said it will be ready at most 30 minutes. So I did not go home instead browse around the store with the weekly ad and coupon booklet in my hand. Our DD was in the cart. I decided to buy diaper and paper towel. Below was my two transaction which I thought I made a good deal. It was my first time using the register rewards program as well :-) I think I'm learning slowly now :-)

Got My Giveaway Prize from Liza

Yesterday I received the prize from Liza's giveaway in her My So Called Life blog. It was a nice eco-friendly make up tools. It's very timely since I was planning of buying make up tools. The one I bought before I gave it to my sisters. I bought some make up stuff but can't use it since I don't have the tools. Now I have one and it's earth-friendly. Thanks Liz. Love the set of smashbox lip gloss and the smashbox eye shadow. I will have to practice on how to put make up though. I am not good at it :-) I guess my friends over here can teach me how to or better arrange for a make up session party :-)

Thanks again Liza for my prize. It's awesome. I will watch out for your next giveaway. Maybe I'll get lucky again :-)

Monopoly - Has a Makeover

Are you fun of playing monopoly? This is one of the favorite board games for the family and I bet most homes here in the US have one :-) I just read an article from Yahoo news that Hasbro, the maker of this well-known board game revealed the new edition of their classic board game. This is to commemorate its 75th anniversary. Honestly since I got here in the US I haven't played monopoly yet but we do have the old square one. This Monopoly: Revolution Edition is slick. It is round that comes with ATM, credit cards and bye bye with the paper money. We'll see how the monopoly players respond to this face-lift.
