For months we've been looking for the cheapest airfare going to the Philippines. We tried different travel site online as well as direct to an airline carrier website. So far the best price that we've found was through direct purchase. The lowest price among the carrier that we've looked at is Hawaiian Airlines. The flight is also a one stop route and it's from Seattle to Hawaii then Hawaii to Philippines. The price for a round trip ticket per person is $971 plus fees and taxes. This price is only until Manila. I think it is still a good deal. The other airlines as well as the prices from travel sites were all above $1000. For this, hubby decided to go ahead and get the tickets before the price go up again. We also got tickets from Manila to Davao buy availing the Philippine Airlines (PAL) promo of Php1,888.00= $30. This promotion is only for booking until April 30 and the travel should be done until December 2009. In total we spent less than $3000 for three tickets. Our DD, since she's already 2 years old by the time we travel, we paid for her ticket for $808.

Shopping Loot
Two weeks ago we went to the mall. I stopped by at Sears and was able to have great finds in jeans. I got three jeans for $5.99 each with 50% off of it. I love shopping when it's end of season because I can really get a good deals on apparel. The jeans are all long for me so I had it altered. If I know how to sew and have a sewing machine I would definitely do it myself or hubby can since he told me he know how to sew. But anyways, I brought it to an alteration shop and I paid $21 for three. It's more than what I paid for the jeans actually. I don't have any regrets though since I like the result a lot.
This past week, we went to Supermall in Auburn and found out that the Children's Place is having a spring sale which they're taking 50% off of the already reduced price. I was able to buy dresses, hat, jacket, tops and bottoms, shoes, and socks for our DD. I am hoping they will have another sale next week since I need to get more summer clothes for her for our vacation. I love to stock up too so I usually buy bigger sizes for next year. I bought bigger size dresses a year ago and it's only now that she can use it which I am very glad.

Travel Deals
We were looking for vacation packages to Hawaii last week and we exhausted all the travel sites online. I found some really good deals with couple of the travel sites but hubby does not recognize the name of the sites. He don't want to buy in those sites because he's afraid he'll be scammed or what not. We compared many known sites that I think most people know as well and also followed some advices from travel magazines. After Easter I told my husband that we need to decide soon because my head already hurts with too many choices. He then decided to use Expedia to get our vacation package. We booked for it on Monday and now, finally, we have our itinerary even if this vacation is still weeks away. I think we had a good deal with the vacation package. We paid less than $2000 for everything with four of us to travel; hubby, me, and our two daughters. The package includes airfare, hotel, and car rental for four days and three nights.

Shopping at an Outlet Store
When hubby came back from church yesterday we decided to go out and checked out the factory outlet in Centralia. It's not a huge factory outlet but has stores that I love going to. I go there for Carter's, Gymboree, Polo Ralph Lauren, Aeropostale, Helly Hansen, Quicksilver, Billabong, and others. They always have sale going on there and I can get coupons online from their website that I can use in any stores. I also learned that there are stores that give 10% military discount. Even if you are a dependent and have military ID you will get the 10% discount on top of your coupon. It's a good thing I always carry my ID and when I shop I always ask if they do so I can take advantage of the offer.

Victoria Secret Freebie
I always received a catalog as well as a card from Victoria Secret with a free panty and $10 off of any bra coupon. Sometimes I use the $10 off but most of the times I only redeem the free panty. On Monday I received in the mail a card with a coupon. It is redeemable starting on the 7th of this month. I have to remember the date so I can go to the mall and use the coupon. I love this type of freebies :-)
