Sheraton Princess Kapiolani Hotel

We stayed at Sheraton Princess Kapiolani Hotel while we were in Hawaii. The location is really great since it is beside the International Marketplace along Waikiki area. It is where the action is all happening. Our room is located on it's second floor and we have the city view. We did not upgrade because we wanted to save money. Anyways, the hotel is kinda old and I believe it needs upgrading. The room that we stayed in the A/C seemed to not work well. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets are somewhat new and clean but the room amenities needs updating as well. Even the furnitures need to be improved. We only had one breakfast at the hotel and that was on our last day. It was very expensive. The breakfast buffest costs $21.50/person. We just decided to eat in because we don't want to go anywhere since we will be checking out at 10am. Another thing that threw me off from their services was the pool. It is only available from 6am to 6pm. We wanted to go for a night swimming but it's not available anymore after 6pm. In totality, the hotel is good as well as the services.

Freebie from VS

I got another freebie again from Victoria Secret and of course as always, it's the free cotton panty and a coupon of $10 off any bra. I went to one of their stores at the mall near us and they have up t 75% of cosmetics. I bought some lipsticks as gifts when I go home. I have to stock up some giveaways for relatives and friends. I know when we get there I will be swarmed with a lot of expecting visitors who are wishing to see us, especially my husband and DD. I am also looking at more sales in some other stores to buy little things for gifts. Ughhh this really daunting :-) But anyways, did you get the same mail coupon from VS?

Ultimate Steal

Hubby decided to upgrade our computer software. We still have Windows XP and he wanted to get Vista. He checked out Microsoft site and check for deals on software. Fortunately, he saw the ultimate deal they have going on there. If you are a student and your school is listed on there that qualifies then you will be able to get the Vista Ultimate at a cheaper price. Hubby bought the Vista Ultimate and Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2007. The school that we are going to is listed that is why he was able to get it. For all the software he's getting, he is only paying $165 tax included. But there is a downside for me while he is upgrading. I can't log in to our desktop until he is finished with the installation. Waaahhh I am missing my farm at Farm Town!!! :-)

Got My Workbook

My class will soon end but I just got my workbook today :-) Well, it was first said that it is not required but our instructor requires it. I could have bought it online, through Amazon or Barnes and Noble, but I don't want to use my own money to purchase it. It costs around $32, price and tax. Our instructor told the school that the bookstore should get it in order for those that don't have it can get the book. On Saturday one of our classmates told us that the bookstore has it already. I went there this afternoon and got the authorization from the Cashier to get my workbook at the bookstore. I used my remaining scholarship money to pay for it, hence I got it for free :-)

Cheapest Airfare 11

Best Fare Bet

For months we've been looking for the cheapest airfare going to the Philippines. We tried different travel site online as well as direct to an airline carrier website. So far the best price that we've found was through direct purchase. The lowest price among the carrier that we've looked at is Hawaiian Airlines. The flight is also a one stop route and it's from Seattle to Hawaii then Hawaii to Philippines. The price for a round trip ticket per person is $971 plus fees and taxes. This price is only until Manila. I think it is still a good deal. The other airlines as well as the prices from travel sites were all above $1000. For this, hubby decided to go ahead and get the tickets before the price go up again. We also got tickets from Manila to Davao buy availing the Philippine Airlines (PAL) promo of Php1,888.00= $30. This promotion is only for booking until April 30 and the travel should be done until December 2009. In total we spent less than $3000 for three tickets. Our DD, since she's already 2 years old by the time we travel, we paid for her ticket for $808.
